One of the things I love about Pinterest is it's ability to take something so simple and convert it into something beautiful for decor. Without all of the inspiration I've taken from Pinterest, I would have been at a loss for decorating my apartment. I've recently fallen for the look of white and gold together, and it's been on my to-do list to make these DIY gold magnets. Spray painting plastic toy animals has been popping up around Pinterest for a while, whether its simply for decor, or DIY-ing bookends, catchalls or jewelry holders. What's your take on it? Cheap, quirky, or classy?

totally love this - there's actually a really great plastic animal topped jar over on jojotastic http://jojotastic.com/2013/06/20/darby-smart/ apparenlty Darby Smart sells it as part of a DIY craft kit but you could easily make it yourself. They'd be so chic in gold (and functional too)!
