Prabal Gurung for Target

After the Target + Neiman Marcus collaboration this past holiday season, I blogged about how disappointed I was with Target's designer collections. Most of them are too good to be true when you go from seeing the pieces on a commercial to in-store on the hangers, but I'm going to keep my fingers crossed with the new Prabal Gurung for Target collection. With all of the bright colors and floral designs, how could this not be gorgeous in person! Plus, how cute is the commercial? And just in time for Valentine's Day. :)

Designer markdowns for last minute shoppers

I've always loved when Target collaborates with top designers to create affordable creations. I was, however, a little disappointed by the prices of the latest collaboration the company had with Neiman Marcus. The brand names were there (Marc Jacobs, rag & bone, Tracy Reese, etc.), proudly displaying their ability to make us smitten upon first glance, but what was missing was the quality that went along with the high prices. It was just not the best for the amount of money you'd be paying.

We'll I think Target got the hint, because many pieces are now 50 percent off. This means I can finally afford that Altuzarra shaker I've had my eye on, and the Robert Rodriguez top with enough ruffles to channel Blair Waldorf at work.

A Pop of {Cheap} Style: Cap toe pumps

It's one thing to color block dresses, skirts and tops, but when Kate Spade and other designers took it to another level by color blocking pumps last year, I was craving something I knew I couldn't afford. After I discovered Target Does it Again on Instagram, I discovered that you could have all the glam without breaking the bank. Target offers the cap toe pumps in a variety of colors, any of which would go perfect with a simple black dress + tights this holiday season. With a $32.99 price tag (compared to over $200 from KS and YSL!), can you really resist this deal?

A Pop of {cheap} Style: 'Target does it again'

Something either really amazing, or really horrible recently happened in the world of retail. This week I was introduced to "Target Does it Again," an Instagram account that chronicles all of the latest and greatest Target has to offer. As if we didn't already love this store enough, it's about to become even greater with an Instagram account that shows us items that will have us running to our nearest Target store to snag. A Pop of [cheap} style: Target's latest Sonia Kashuk collection

If you're a Target frequenter, chances are you've heard of Sonia Kashuk. Her partnership with Target was launched in 1999, and she became the first make-up artist brand in the mass sector. Since then, Kashuk has been a part of creating her Target cosmetic line, and her latest project does not disappoint. 

Appropriately titled "TGIF" (Thank God It's Fall), the line includes limited edition hair accessories and beauty products in fall shades. They've already started trickling into stores, and more will be arriving August 19. A few of my favs are below.

A pop of {cheap} style: summer dresses for a steal

I can walk into Target with only laundry detergent and shampoo on my shopping list, and come out with at least three other finds in my bag. Why is it that this happens at Target and no where else? Those who know me can say this is my number one weakness, but I blame it on Target's exceptionally good branding and marketing tactics.

Honestly, if this wasn't a real issue, would there be an e-card about it?

Not-so-long-story short, I left Target with a sundress I didn't need. I'm sure glad I tried it on though, because it's been my summer staple. I've had many compliments on it, and I love seeing people's surprised faces when I tell them it's from Target. Unfortunately it didn't come in different colors (without a doubt I would have bought every color), but, as is always the case with Target, there's plenty more choices to choose from. Each of the six dresses below are between $20-$25, so you don't have to put a dent in your wallet!
